NPD Manager

This is an exceptional opportunity to join a highly successful supplier to major UK & Irish multiple retailers. This role will enable you to play a key function in the onward development of specific consumer food categories. 

Dimension of the Role -

  • The NPD Manager will have responsibility for formulating and implementing the product development strategy in line with the business plan

Principal Objectives -

  • To work as a proactive member of the Commercial Team, taking day to day responsibility for the development of new products
  • To be the product champion with our customers and monitor product consistency
  • To work cross functionally with Team members to ensure that business and customer needs are met
  • To consider EPD as well as NPD as our customers and consumers demand

Key Objectives -

  • To work within the Commercial function in developing new products ahead of our competitors, in line with our customers expectations
  • To monitor consumer trends in all the markets we operate within to ensure that we are at the forefront of all developments
  • To proactively develop ideas, initiatives, processes etc for new and existing products
  • To implement a visible CPA system to track project work
  • To ensure communication between all parties in order to establish any project is within our commercial, technical and factory capability
  • To develop the site sensory skills to ensure food vales and product quality is driven through every project
  • To complete the handover between development and first production, including all relevant paperwork is completed
  • To drive a robust review of all CPA’s to ensure we do not ‘over promise and under delver’ both internally and externally
  • To manage our customer interaction for all NPD/EPD and product consistency panels
  • To ensure that attention to detail is paramount in all communication and that presentation style, content and format is in line with company expectations
  • To complete all reporting procedures with appropriate detail within agreed timescales
  • To continually assess and pro-actively develop business winning opportunities
