Promotions and Pricing Analyst
Main Purpose of the Role:
My Client is currently looking to recruit a commercially astute and talented individual with a proven record in an accountancy environment. Fantastic opportunity coupled with the real prospect for career development within a fast paced retail environment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Pricing:
- Monitor weekly price movements and report to business in agreed format.
- Work with trading team to ensure prices are moved on a timely basis and that the pricing policy is delivered.
- Liaise with external price survey companies on price survey data
- Train all new members of trading team on National Consumer Agency compliance (NCA)
- Point of contact for all NCA customer and Inspector queries
- Ensure all price controllers are aware of any changes in the business that affect their day to day roles and present any changes to the price controllers in a quarterly meeting.
- Build various pricing index models
Promotions:
- Co-ordinate the company promotions process within the trading team
- Financial review of promotional forecasts by department
- Work with cross functional promotional team to drive improvement in the promotional process
- Analyse promotional cycle using risk assessment and trend analysis
- Create promotional data for art room signage
- Generate promotional sales reports during the promotion to track performance
- Review promotional detail at article offer level
- Liaise with Supply Chain on all promotional issues
- Co-ordinate and report on grade guide audit results
Skills and Experience:
- Strong Excel Skills
- Excellent Communication and Presentation skills
- Strong analytical skills coupled with commercial business awareness.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- A strong appreciation of the importance of detail and accuracy.
- Exceptional project management and time management skills.
- SAP experience is desirable
- Accountancy qualification is an advantage
