Employee Relations Manager
The Role:
My client is a innovative continuously growing International retailer looking to recruit an Employee Relations Manager. This is a strategic position which will report into Head of Employee Relations.
Role Responsibilities:
- To support the delivery of the Employee Relations plan
- To be the go-to person for expert advice and support on all people related change projects within the business
- To compile progress reports on all projects with ER involvement and present these in the appropriate forums / internal governance meetings
- To monitor and report on developments / trends within the industrial relations field
- To attend and participate in union discussions as and when required
- Advise both management and staff on issues relating to employee relations policies and procedures, dealing with employee relations concerns and making appropriate recommendations.
- Implement and review of ER policies and procedures in line with best practice and current legislation.
Key Experience and Skills Required:
- Personnel / HR background with experience of employee relations / industrial relations, and working with trade unions.
- Would suit an individual who wants to develop further within the industrial relations discipline in a fast moving environment
- Presentation skills
- Report writing skills
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Powerpoint
- Influencing skills
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Ability to work within tight deadlines and react quickly to changes
- Clear understanding of employment legislation
- Third level qualification in a related HR area
