 NATIONAL ACCOUNT MANAGER – Musgraves

The Role:

The Customer Account Manager is the day to day contact for the Customer Buyer, responsible for the delivery of Turnover, Profitability and Business Building Terms budgets within allocated categories. It is their responsibility to create and deliver the Joint Customer Business Plan at a category level. 

Role Responsibilities:

 

  • Delivery of Turnover, Customer Profitability and Business Building Terms budgets for the customer within allocated categories
  • Day to day buyer contact and relationship management with the designated customers
  • Creation and execution of category specific Joint Business Plans
  • Customer marketing appropriate activation within allocated budget
  • Agree and execute Gap Closing Initiatives
  • Provision of clear up to date inputs to Business Processes e.g. AMEX, Customer Business Planning
  • Relate customer inputs into the promotional planning process – responsible for 6 month forecast within designated categories.
  • Own the balance sheet within designated categories (cpp calculations, accruals, price query resolution, trade term compliance)
  • Developing Customer Business Plans Optimising Promotional Sell-Out
  • Category Management
  • Implementing the Customer / Channel Business Plans
  • Developing Customer Relationships

Key Experience and Skills Required:

  • 3rd level degree in business or related discipline
  • 5-10 years experience in a similar FMCG environment, in particular with multiples channel in Ireland, demonstrating a deep understanding of the channel
  • Have solid business / commercial acumen. There are multiple options and choices within scope. It will be key to prioritise and focus on the opportunities that provide the biggest impact and return
  • Need to have passion, energy and enthusiasm about delivering results.
  • Good interpersonal, communication and relationship management skills are also essential.
  • Be a motivated self starter to achieve team and individual goals
  • Proven track record of delivery in Customer Development including good negotiation skills and experience with managing categories and customers
  • Ability to think strategically, who can develop, build and implement a strategy plan for the Short - Term ( 1 year) Mid - Term (3 years) and Long - Term (5 years)
  • Customer management and selling skills are essentials
