Insurable Risk Manager

The Company:

My client is a leading edge multinational within the retail space seeking to recruit an Insurable Risk Manager.

The Role:

• Ensure that disputes with customers are handled sensitively and with due regard to overall business objectives
• Oversee the management of insurance related claims
• Bring independent thought, experience and expert knowledge on risk management providing the business with solutions and choices
• Work with the business to develop processes to minimize claims against the business and support the implementation of the processes
• Work shoulder to shoulder with business teams to manage contentious matters leading the risk aspects of those matters
• Advise on disputes and litigation matters and work with stakeholders across the business to resolve issues
• Instruct external providers where appropriate
• Provide analysis and information to the business
• Forecast and manage cost within budget, exercising effective use and control
• Recommend cost effective external advisers
• Develop processes which minimize legal risk and therefore cost
• Be seen as an expert on risk matters
• Understand what the business needs and therefore provide the business with clear solutions and choices
• Able to identify future risks and minimize those risks through the development and implementation of process
• Ensure that external advice to the business is accurate, timely and communicated appropriately
• Provide accurate analysis of key issues to enable fully informed and timely decisions

Key Experience and Skills Required:

• Trained within an external law firm
• 5 years PQE
• Broad insight into business affairs
• Successful track record
• Worked in a multinational business
• High level IT skills
• High level of analytical skills
• Minimum of 7 years at senior level in risk management
• ACII or Risk Management degree

Salary negotiable depending on experience.
